Paul Carter

Paul has been running for over 40 years competing in 27 marathons including Boston and Chicago. He is recently retired as a teacher (Peel District School Board) and has coached Cross Country and Track and Field for over 35 years having had success at the ROPSSAA, OFSAA and National levels.

Kerry Smith

Ontario Masters Athletics Hall of Fame.
World Masters champion 60m and 200m (2006).
Medaled 11 times at World Masters Championships.
Past member of Canadian National Sprint Team.
Worked for 20 years at Speed Factory Inc. with athletes from all different sports to increase their speed.
Played professional football in CFL 6 years.
Attended University of Texas on a full scholarship for track and field.

Sauga Striders

Dylan Alick

As a former MTFC alumnus, Dylan Alick is passionate about running and is dedicated to developing the next generation of young athletes in Mississauga, helping them achieve their goals. An alumnus of the McMaster Track and XC team, Dylan was part of the historic 2022 USports National Championship win, the university’s first in 59 years. He has competed across Canada and the US, achieving success at numerous national and provincial championships.
Notable accomplishments include:
– Winner of 2024 BMO Vancouver Half Marathon
– 5th Place Finish at 2024 Canadian 10k Championships
– 2023 OUA Silver Medalist in 3000m.

Sergio Ráez Villanueva

Sergio Ráez Villanueva is a certified coach for the Mississauga Track & Field Club. During his free time, Sergio trains competitively and has represented Canada at international competitions in cross-country and track. Since 2022, he started running marathons, coming 3rd Canadian and 9th overall at the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon (October 2023), running 2:18:04 the year prior in October 2022 at the same race. In May 2024, he was also the winner for the Vancouver BMO International Marathon.
